Members Dali's Llama
Ok, so I tried the r28 mod, and after plugging the pedal back in, it didn't have any phasing at all. Even after soldering the resistor back in, there is nothing... Any tips?
Members KBN
So the pedal has power, right? Did you mess with the trim pot above the speed pot?
Members Dali's Llama
Yeah, that's what I think the issue is...I turned it a bit after removing the resistor...just out of curiousity. It's using a fresh battery, and I'm using an adapter for good measure.
Members Dali's Llama
Bump...need some trim pot basics here...
Members Dali's Llama
Let's try this again...
Members paul d
I think the trimpot adjusts the bias on the IC....just adjust it until you find the sweet spot, which is in the middle of the sweep. At both extremes of the sweep you'll get no phasing...
Members Dali's Llama
I tried turning it slowly all the way with the guitar ringing, and there's still no phase... Hmm...wonder what's up then...
Members KBN
That trimpot has to be in just the right place. Even the tiniest bit off and it is messed up. try it again, but turn it really slowly and in very small incriments. If thats not it, then I don't have a clue. Good luck. Oh, check all the the solder points around R28 just in case you weren't the best with the soldering iron. Make sure you don't have a thin strand of solder working as a jumper between points. Members psalt_phallow
sounds like you may have a cold solder joint or you fried a component. Did you desolder R28 or just pull it? Also don't jumper the empty spots if you did.
Members Dali's Llama
I de-soldered the resistor from the back of the circuit board, then after trying it out and realizing there was no phase, I re-soldered it. I know my basic soldering as I've wired my own guitars, pickups and some other pedals.
Members Dali's Llama
Ok, I'm still having trouble with this thing...and I'm kind of upset because it's an important part of my setup. I checked the whole circuit-board and everything looks clean....nothing looks burnt or fried. I adjusted the trimpot slowly with the guitar in the signal and there's still no phasing. Hopefully someone will have a solution...

Members BillyCorgan
The mod sounds horrible anyways. I have one with it..
Members Onepiece
Well, until I find out what's gone wrong I'll just have to take your word for it.
