Members therhodeo
I'm waiting on a Tonefactor Huckleberry, MI Crunch Box, and a MI Blues Boy Deluxe. I'm using the Crunch box and BBD to replace the my Jekyll&Hyde and am planning on using the Huck for a nice lead sound on a few different songs. What do you guys think? Good purchase?? Members Armoredfist316
Cool. I will be ordering one as soon as my auctions end on ebay. Then ill do a shootout with that and the Tonebone Hot british. I dont know about your other pedals, but ive heard nothing but awsome things about the crunch box. Are you gonna be using it with your direct drive?
Members therhodeo
I'm planning on using the DD for more like AC/DC like cleanish crunch and the Crunch Box for more higher gain(but not high gain).
Members Armoredfist316
Thats cool. I had a direct drive SS for a while, but i just couldnt get a good sound out of it with my classic 30. The one my friend played through my amp sounded awsome though. Hopefully the crunch box will be what i am looking for
Members therhodeo
To me its like the DD is my plexi sound while I'll use the CB for my JCM sound. And yeah it took me a while to get into the DD into my classic 30. I think the best crunch sounds I get is with a TS type pedal gain all the way down, tone dimed, and the level cranked. It sounds amazing through that Classic 30. Probably do that for recording but live its a mess because you go clean and you lose 90% of your volume.
