Members Marlin in Minn
Got a Zoom G7.1ut a coupla days ago and once I figured out how to program it, I really like some of the sounds it makes. But, it has a problem where when I'm playing every few minutes the volume fades out and then slowly comes back up. If I quit playing the volume will come back to 100% in about 5 seconds, if I just keep playing it takes about 15 seconds. I'm wondering if I have damaged it by running it through the effects loop on my C30. The manual shows connecting the guitar to the unit and then the unit to the face of the amp. But, it didn't say that you shouldn't run it thru the effects loop, so I hooked it up that way. So, I'm wondering if the C30's preamp might have overdriven it and damaged it. Anyone have any experience with these? Thanks!
Members Ultra.Fuzz
Hi there Marlin, Considering your unit is/was not defective to begin with... From the manual, page 9: "HINT: when the -10 dBm/+4 dBm switch on the rear panel is set to '-10 dBm' and the LEVEL knob is turned up fully, the G7.1ut has unity gain (output level is the same as input level)." I don't really know, but this could have something to do with what you're experiencing...or not.
