Members NoirAbattoir
I like the sound of the pickups overdriven. Clean they sounded pretty weak, but I won't be playing them clean much. Fit and finish? Well, no glaring finish issues, but the frets are clangy and not dressed well. There are burrs which don't go outward off the fretboard so they don't catch you, but you can see they weren't done well. The burrs go inward onto the fretboard. After stringing up some fender .10 gauge strings I am thinking the frets need some real dressing. May even need some leveling. This reminds me of the SX tele I bought last year. I like the look of it and the overdriven tones are pretty good, but the frets aren't good to go.
Members NoirAbattoir
Actually, I am warming up to this guitar. I moved the strap button so it isn't as neck heavy and the pickups sound damn close to Gibson p90s. After adjusting the bridge the neck feels better, too. Members utsapp89
How thick are the necks on those Hofners? Somewhere in the ballpark of either a Gibbo 50s or 60s neck?

Members PurpleStrat
Thank you for reviewing this guitar and bringing it down to earth! Spongebob in the Guitar Forum was saying it was better made then a PRS SE! Having owned two of them I had my doubts that it could live up to one of them.
