Members booher
Well somehow my CS-3 stopped working. I know Boss has a 3 year warranty, or maybe 5, but I don't know if I ever registered it, so I may be SOL for that. However, how do I go about finding out what is wrong with this thing? I've tried plugging it in to my PP2 and it just doesn't respond. Any ideas?

Members MrSage
Check the protection diode. Should look like a little burned out thingie.

Members andreas
If it's totally dead (no LED, no sound, no nothing), it's usually quite easy to fix. Try both battery and adapter power, check the battery clip wires as well as the solder joints on the adapter jack. Somewhere on the board (usually near the adapter jack) there will be a large diode and a large-ish electrolytic capacitor (100uF or larger) - check those and replace both if the diode looks fried or burnt. If the pedal passes sound in bypass mode but not when active, it can be a lot harder to find the problem. /Andreas
