Members Steve Howe
...makes way to much noise when turned on. It's not as noticable when playing, but when stomped on, this giant, bassy noise. Help me I love how it sounds.

That works for live stuff, but when recording, there is this huge burst of fuzzy, low end noise under my fuzz and it's pissing me off.

Members tocs100
Better cables, kept away from (or at least crossing 90 degrees over) power cables? I don't own any muffs, just sayin'. I do have a--almost totally noiseless--DOD Flashback Fuzz (Tonebender clone). It was only $40 new, so an exchange is an option too.

Aye, single coils, but it happens with my LP too Actually, I fixed the problem. I traded it in towards an old Maestro Phaser (it has a "Balls" control ) and an MXR Evnelope Filter.
