Members The*Ataris
Seriously, everybody is bringing so many different influences and ideas that our initial batch of songs are all over the place. We never really decided on a direction, we just wanted to do something really different than the bands we've played in before... I just got our second demo song mixed. Is their ANY continuity between those songs?! http://www.myspace.com/thesightstheyaffect Then we have some stuff that's sort of spazzed out (maybe kind of Pixies?) that more or less one chord and pretty rockin'. We have a few other things that are kind of danceable and a couple that are pretty clean/mellow... We've only covered one song: a really old Modest Mouse b-side... Ha. I really hope if we keep writing, some sort of style starts showing through. Right now we're just trying to line up a string of shows to get back into the swing of things... Members Mr. Shankly
It usally takes a few months before your band starts to write songs that flow together well. However, it is much easier to write in a band if everyone has somewhat similar influences or the project has a particular sound in mind.
