Members El Cheapo
I don't like using my pedal tuner (Boss T-whatever). It's not that accurate, it takes up valuable board space and it only wants to work with a power supply - so more cables/bother. How about those thingies I'm seeing advertised that clip on to your headstock? Any good? Do they work in a "noisy" envioronment?..
Members Blungo
They work great, but not so great in a really noisey enviroment. Also, mine works less well on the low notes of my bari, so they may not be good for bass.
Members jasonfuzz
I just picked up the planet waves S.O.S tunerhttp://www.planet-waves.com/ptoolsdetails.aspx?ID=11 it's a little odd to use, but once you get used to it, it gets easier to understand and use. Members minimum tek
i dont like those clip on tuners they pick up vibrations, so a nearby bass or P.A. confuses them. The joint in mine has become loose, so even after it is clipped to the headstock I have to use one hand to turn it so i can see it. stick to the boss, no way are these more accurate and what a hassle! Members bbrunskill
I know some acoustis players that swear by them, me I wouldn't trust them. I use 2 DT-10s, and they work good. I want to try the PW pick thing though
Members Wilbo26
Unless you have an acoustic and aren't using an amp, I think using a pedal tuner is a much better solution. Whatever works though.
Members M900
I have one of those Intellitouh tuners and it's great for quick tune-ups and such, though I can't imagine not having a "real" tuner. I think it's good for practice when you don t want to drag the entire board around (I have a Korg tuner mounted on my pedal board). c
