I'm thinking about a Valvetech; convince me!

I decided I'd had it with trying to get a decent sound out of my current amp (an Ashton tube combo) when I came across Valvetech Amps via a link in someones sig (Mrsuperfly I believe).

I couldn't believe how much amp you could get for the price! So I emailed Rob Pierce and got a quote, sussed out the customs charges, even picked out a colour scheme. But then, earlier this afternoon while checking out the HC Reviews I found this a quote from Rob;

 

"Also as I tell anyone who is interested in the loop that is for LINE LEVEL rack effects only. It is not made for GUITAR LEVEL effects. "

 

This has me worried as I really wanted a parallel effects loop but all my effects are just regular stompboxes and I don't forsee ever owning any rack gear. The quote is over a year old and Rob didn't mention this in his emails.

So basically I'd like to hear from people who own a Valvetech and get a few impressions from them. If you've got the effects loop is it line level on yours? And if so how do you use it?

Check the sig... Pedals in front, rack gear and Boomerang+ in the loop.
