Members martindcx1e
can the catalinbread scod double as a low-gain boost very well?

Members Headlow
It sure can. Theres loads of volume available, and if the gain is kept low it will act as a very good clean boost.

Members El Gallo Negro
I love the SCOD. I use it all the time, but I don't think it should be your first choice for a low-gain boost. And especially not if you're hitting it hard with hot humbuckers, or if you have any kind of drive or compression in front of it. It's a dirty pedal, and a hot signal going into it will dirty it up, even if you have the gain all the way down. But it is all the way badass for serious gain. Members Stoney Stomp
I agree..i wouldnt use it for that either. Even at the lowest gain settings, she's still pretty hairy. It's not really meant to be a smooth OD or boost kind of pedal so...if that's what you're looking for, I'd look elsewhere.
