Members skier4467
I was playing with some cool sounds on my computer and wished that I could record them onto a synth and then play the noises on the different piano keys and take that to band practice. I think that is what a sampler does right? But I also think that most samplers are expensive. Is there anything that can do this for less than $450?? Members Meatball Fulton
Lots of older hardware samplers are available used for less than $450.
Members Yoozer
You won't get a keyboard with those, however - and those with a keyboard (Roland W-30, S-series, Ensoniq ASR) don't have a lot of memory... So, you'll have to spend the money on both a sampler and a controller keyboard - unless you only want to trigger the noises, then having a few rubber pads in front of you is enough . Members dabowsa
The older Alesis stuff can do this (albeit, a little tricky and slow to download the samples). QS6.1's go cheap these days.
