Members rfritz
I think I have all the parts ready to build a footswitch for my Fender Blues Deluxe. What I plan on doing is running a guitar cable from my Footswitch Out jack on the amp, and then into the input jack on my new footswitch (I dont like how most footswitches have the cord attached) I bought this single throw switch: and this jack: All thats left to do is mount them on an enclosure and wire the switch to the jack. What I'm not sure on is which pole to connect each part to *i.e. Is it important to connect the left side of the switch to a certain pole on the jack? The way I see it, I have at least a 50% of being right if I just do it without knowing anything about these things. But I figured that some of you must know the right thing to do here. Help me please!

Nope. The switch just connects and disconnects the lugs. Hook one to the "tip" connector of the jack, and one to the "sleeve" and you'll be fine.
