NEW MXR/Custom Audio Electronics Boost Pedal vs. MXR Micro Amp---Need Solo Boost!!!!

Anybody tried the new Custom Audio Electronics boost pedal? Or compared it to the micro gate. I am needing a boost pedal for solos. I play heavilly distorted.

i'd say micro amp - don't like the soundfiles of the custom boost.

anyway, good boosts - kickin' a preamp or even after a setup of overdrives - are the aphek peanut butter 't' or the zoom powerdrive pd-01.

 

the main problem with heavy distortion is that beyond a measure You just add buzz but no more volume when the boost is before the distortion unit/souped-up amp.

Putting a boostin in front of your distortion isnt going to add that much volume only add more gain.

but putting a boost after a distortion pedal into a clean amp will increase volume.

I ordered both---figured if I don't like them both then i will sell them both or if i like 1 better than the other then i will keep it and sell the one i don't like. Take a $10 loss on eBay is worth it for the lesson I will learn from experience with them both.
