Members fatbackribs
After my last vid, a few folks asked if I could compare the sounds of my '62 Princeton and '66 [EDIT: make that '64 ] Princeton reverb amps. (boing) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7271245873467147900 I go back and forth a few times and them let them duke it out together. I was having some good fun playing with iMovie, so please excuse the filter abuse. What started as simple visual clues to which amp you were hearing soon got out of hand. cheers. Members Psychedelic Trip
Mmm it's hard to choose, they both sound great. What trem settings are you using for those two. *Edit, ignore that. The pics didn't load before
Members fatbackribs
Actually, I just changed the pics, because one didn't show the right settings. Both had their "Intensity" dials up at about 8 and were in the lower third of their speed ranges. The '66 can go faster and slightly slower than the '62, but the '64 has a deeper, more pronounced throb.when they met... it was murder!

Members ZachOmega
I could be wrong, but isn't a faceplate that says Fender Electric Instruments instead of Fender Musical Instruments indicative of an amp made prior to 1965? Not 1966? -Zach Omega
Members fatbackribs
Yup, I have two Princeton reverbs and got them confused again. The one in the clip is a late '64. My other PR is a '66, (hmm... lamest bumper sticker ever?)good eyes.
