Members cdp
^ it's the "reissue" EXP-2000 with the internal switches, not the surface mounted version...

Members cdp
Ok, and "the noise gate thingy" would be....? Not sure what that is, mine doesn't have one. Maybe they didn't include it on the reissue because it sucked? I dunno.
Members aeroslepperin
i've never used a reissue, but on the original there was some sort of noise gate built into the circuit. so for an extreme example, if you had the DIP switches set to the "forbidden" setting (or whatever they called it) and cranked all the knobs, it'd be making crazy feedback/noises. then when you stopped playing, it would go dead silent. do as much as a light pickscrape and it would go nuts again. and if i remember, it wasn't just on that setting. Members cdp
ok, they still have the 'forbidden' setting, which I've never used. I loved the OD setting for so long, until the other day when I read a review and decided to try the distortion setting. Bingo - the solo tone I've been looking for! I was about to spend some $$$ on a Keeley modded pedal but what I needed was already sitting on my pedalboard.
Members sense_of_henry
I have an original, I got it the year it was released and it is my oldest pedal. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. I have been recommending others to try it for a long time. I totally understand your excitement!
Members cdp
^ I posted this thread as a public service announcement, but I don't think it's caught on with the metal crowd. Oh well...I tried!
