Members march56
I recently aquired a d-50 for a real good price. ( if it's too good to be true it probably isn't). As it turns out, two of the address buttons don't work and one is intermittent. Anyone ever fix this? I pulled of the back panel and there looks like boards in the way. I was hoping to spray some electronic cleaner into the switch or blow it with air. I need advise and or service manual. Members march56
O.KNo one wants to help. I used a little more than normal pressure on these address switches and they seem to be working! Thanks for all the advice!
Members realtrance
Fortunately you didn't spray gunk in there. You did the right thing: work the buttons until they work, if they never do, could be replacement needed. But you'd be surprised on old instruments how much button intermittence is the result of cigar smoke/cat hair/nasal spray/dust mite dandruff/watermelon pith. Best not to add to the mix, take the subtractive approach.
