Members The Professiona
Hey guys,I'm trying to set up a percussion rig around my DrumKat. I found this picture, and would like to do a set-up similar to it. What kinds of equipment would I need? How would I set it up?
Members MartinHines
I would suggest contacting Alternate Mode (the creators of DrumKat) directly. From the picture, it appears the pedals are sold by them as accessories:http://www.alternatemode.com/katpedals.shtml I would guess some of the pads are from Yamaha:http://www.alternatemode.com/E_Pad.shtml I can't tell what type of sound module that is but AM sells many modules pre-configured for use with their products:http://www.alternatemode.com/synths.shtml
Members Khazul
All the pads are yamaha I think. Foot pedals and switches all look yamaha. The rack module - dunno what that is. If you want a decent electronic drum rig - maybe selling your drumkat and buying a s/h kit might be a good option rather than buying the pads, mounts, pedlas etc as it could all get get pricey with getting the bits separate. Dont know how much the yami pads are, but if roland pad prices are anything to go buy - then could easily be cheaper to just buy a complete kit - and *alot* better the play - proper kick pedal makes quite a difference. The only downside I guess is space - even a TD6 kit will take more space than the gear in the photo. Edit - ugh - after looking at the links above - definately cheaper to sell it and get a complete kt...
