Members inlifeisdeath
Do you actually solder the wires that were initially attached to the pick-up coils? Because when i opened up my humbucker, the black and red wire (start and finish wires i'm right) came out where as i checked the other coil, the wires were firmly in place. I did some simple playing ard (yes i know its a bit insane to fiddle with pick-ups) and the humbucker seems to be working. Its faulty wiring. So, is there some soldering i need to do? Any knowledgeable soul?
Members waveman
Huh? Depending on the pickup...need a diagram or picture to comprehend. What do you mean initially attached? Did you remove them?
Members GuyaGuy
no. not if you mean the ultra fine copper wire that's coming out of the tape then that should be soldered to the base. that's the wire that winds around the polepieces. leave that alone unless it's snapped. you just need to solder the ends of the insulated wire. is that what you mean?
