Now that I've listened to the clips in autopilot's bitcrushing thread and recall my experiences with the Alesis Ineko and Akira, I can agree with the above statement for the most part. However, some digital ring modulators with LFO frequency shifting capabilities sound like higher pitched bit crushing (to me) when their frequencies are set in their uppermost range. I have also managed to get "fixed bitcrushing"-type effects by running multiple ring mods in series on my Boss GT-8. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
