Members Unfed
when i went down to pick up some SMS controllers for the C64, i saw a crazy looking thing that was made by Konami for a PS1 guitar game: i know there's a way to use a regular playstation controller for midi, so i'm guessing these could be modified for use as well, in case someone was feeling 'special'. there's 'start' and 'select' buttons, as well as some sort of 'picking' lever and three buttons on the neck (five on the newer one that the kid's got there). so, maybe five or seven switches and a +/- bender in a really queer looking package. sound like fun? Members submodern
http://www.joystiq.com/2006/04/11/guitar-hero-hack-a-sequencer-is-born/ Guitar Hero is a great game, by the way! Definitely recommended if you have a PS2, really really fun. The older game "Frequency" by the same company has more synth-friendly songs in it (Orbital, Meat Beat Manifesto, Crystal Method, etc) minus the fun controller. I bought a PS2->USB interface so I could do something like this but I have not yet gotten around to it...
