Members plecoman
Are the jacks used for Speaker cables the same as normal guitar Leads? I have a broken speaker cable jack and a bunch of guitar leads around so I was thinking I could replace it with the guitar jacks. THANKS GUYS! Members L6Sguy
the jacks are the same, but the CABLE is drastically different. if you are gonna remove the jack from a guitar cable, and solder it onto an existing speaker cable, you're cool. Members LavaMan
Speaker cables are typically larger in size than instrument cables, so you may experience some difficulty soldering a normal sized 1/4 plug on a speaker cable...may want to see if the wires will fit first...as you may need a bigger plug. Members plecoman
Ahh thanks! I have a guitar lead with Neutrik jacks on them. The cable size seem to be similar enough. It should work. Thanks!
