Members loxley11
Anyone here ever tried to load patches to a Matrix 6 this way? I'm trying to do it with a .wav file on my laptop and have never been successful. I wasn't successful with an OB-8 either. I just accidentally wiped out the entire bank of sounds I'd built up over the years (arrgh!) when I downloaded an entire bank from a Matrix 1000 instead of the 1 patch I meant to download. Apparently the write protection option doesn't actually protect from MIDI dumps. So now I really need to be able to use this cassette interface. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Members loxley11
I am using the file ob6rfact.wav from this site http://www.overacker.com/oberheim.htm I have the headphone out of my laptop running out to the cassette input of the Matrix6. My cable is TRS at both ends, and I think the audio is mono, so I panned my laptop's output fully left. that's about all i could think to do. I'm pretty sure the OB's cassette input is unbalanced. drew
Members Synthoid
Have you tried different volume levels from the laptop, or panning to the right? The signal may be distorted and unreadable by the Matrix-6. Also....is there any way you can send a SYSEX MIDI dump to your keyboard instead?
