Members vooter
pardon the elementary questions, -but if I plug in an external cab with an 8ohm speaker using the external speaker out jack, would I hear both speakers or would the stock speaker become bypassed? -if both speakers are indeed are being driven at the same time, I can just unhook the main, stock speaker and hook up the external cab speaker through the main speaker jack without hurting the amp correct? (assuming it's an 8ohm external cab) thanks..
Members letterswewrote
-unless you unplug the 12 inch speaker in the amp, you will be hearing the amp speaker and the cab. -and to the best of my knowledge, yes. just make sure the wattage matches up. the hrd is a 40 watt amp, so dont get hook up a 20w handling speaker. Members jackpotjewell
The amp can actually run at 4 ohms so you'd be fine adding an 8 ohm cab, and yes you'll hear both. If you want to just run an extension cabinet, I believe you have to use the input that the internal speaker is plugged into. Just make sure you don't turn it on with no speakers plugged in.
