Members Dragonsoni Posted June 4, 2007 Members Share Posted June 4, 2007 I just bought a Fulltone OCD. What is the difference between the OCD and the Fulldrive 2 Mosfet? I think I may should have bought the Fulldrive 2. It appears the it does the same and more then the OCD. Please correct me if I'm wrong. And any opinions on which sounds better. I guess I could add a Fatboost or MXR Micro Amp. Need a lead boost. Les Paul into Vox AC30CC1 and Marshall Bluesbreaker. Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members Dr.Picklebottom Posted June 4, 2007 Members Share Posted June 4, 2007 i tried them side by side and bought the OCD. the OCD has a lot more gain. i liked the fulldrive, it sounded good but was a very mild sounding pedal. just a slight OD, not enough for me. Members surfcat Posted June 4, 2007 Members Share Posted June 4, 2007 FDII is a tube screamer varient with a clean boost in comp-cut mode. Best for an already breaking up amp. I've tried an Ocd but don't have one-more gain, more Marshally. Different sounding pedals-the FD has 3 settings and a boost switch so it is versitile to a point, but with the exception of the comp-cut, which I really like with humbuckers, the other settings are still tube screamer sounding if you like that type of sound.
