I've realized boosts aren't for me, because they tend to muddy things up with excessive gain, but I do like the compression they add to smooth things out for soloing. That's why I've decided to start looking for a good compression instead, to have a smooth, liquid lead tone without the extra gain. Any suggestions are appreciated.
