Members only_shallow
uhh, well, im well into the jesus and the mary chain sound, so i'm wondering about this... are they similar? some sites say the shin-ei as 'shin-ei(superfuzz)' so its confusing.. just how different are they? Members Boron
there are varying versions of each I think - I find the best JAMC 'psychocandy' tone comes from some sort of boost before a shin-ei 8 tranny fuzz or fuzz wah. just goes "SZSZSZSZSZSZSZSZSZSZS" I just snagged a shin-ei fuzz wah for $25 dolleros a few weeks back. Bitchin!

Shin-ei made them for univox. The FY2 is a different fuzz.

Members Sir H C
The FY-2 is a "splattery" fuzz. Think "Taste The Floor". The Super Fuzz is more octaved and "controlled". Both are killer fuzzes.
