My best guess is that he suggests plugging the multifx directly into the fx loop return thus bypassing the amps preamp. Anyone else have any ideas? I half think this is cheeky, and I half wish I'd come up with something like this.
Members bowlingshirt
From the description: NOTE: This method can only work if your amplifier has an effects loop I tend to agree with you, he may just suggest plugging into the the effects return. Members Lanefair
Thought as much. When he said 'its like removing a blanket from your amp' I thought: Usually you want to throw a blanket OVER a modeller in terms of tone. Also, the fact that he's using an amp at all suggests that the amp preamp is in the equation somewhere.
Members dangerous dan
Could be using the 4 lead method, from memory it;s something like this....Gtr > Multi FX InMulti FX Out > Amp In (Preamp)Amp FX loop Out > Multi Fx, effects InMulti Fx, effects Out > Amp FX loop In But you need a multiFX where you can split the dirt models from the FX models
