Mic'd with an SM57 on the grill & AT4047 omni room-> Neve 1073 console inputs-> Pro Tools, 24 bit, 48K-> Samplitude conversion to MP3. Members Destructobot Posted November 17, 2007 Members Share Posted November 17, 2007 Does it make me a cynic to say that.... other than the mic, the fuzz pedal is the least expensive piece of gear in the chain, by a factor of at least 10? I could probably plug a cat turd into that rig and get beautiful stuff. I'm not trying to say the pedal is bad, it sounds great, but that rig is just so that it's just kinda mean to post clips like this to all us broke=ass chumps. Members theohartman Posted November 17, 2007 Author Members Share Posted November 17, 2007 that's great feedback, thank you. i assumed, perhaps incorrectly, that a strat->-fuzz->plexi signal chain would be a sound where the guitar and the amp were already familiar to people's ears that it would help eliminate those as 'unknown variables'. but i hear ya, when i got the clips from steve i got bad amp gas. i've got a clips of the nkt in a not-so-precious setting, i'll see if i can comp something together in a bit here. best, -t Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pedal volume about noon, Fuzz a hair below dimed.
