Members Mad Hatter
yeah I should put this in amp forum but those people are freaking nuts. I have come across one at a great price, it is a 4x12, he says it is a 400 watt head but I think he is mistaken. I'd like a 5150, but I'd prefer a 60 watt combo. But the price is really good. Members Destructobot
If he says it's a 400 watt head, he's an idiot and not to be trusted. He probably read 400 watts off the back near a UL listing and though that meant 400w was the audio output However, him being a total duffer means you might be able to talk him down even more. Peavey stuff is generally pretty sturdy and 5150's have a good sound for metal and heavy rock. Might be worth picking up if you like the price! Members Mad Hatter
Yeah, I am sure he is an idiot, but I can go check it out, even if it needs a little work, the price is lower than what the combos usually go for.
Members i51423
FWIW, 5150s are 120 watts. Is it $400 for a head AND cab? That's a steal. Bigtime. You could easily flip that for a lot more. 5150s are probably my favorite high gain heads(out of what I've played, anyway).
