What about using an envelope detector to trigger an LDR which would go in place of the wah pot in an otherwise Crybaby-esque wah circuit? People jump up and down about having the most accurate vintage reproduction inductors in a manual wah, but not an auto wah? Seems like the character of a pedal made this way might be a lot different from a DOD 440 or something. Maybe you could even switch the LDR out and return it to normal wah operation so that your wah could go from manual to auto after hitting one switch! Do any pedals like this exist?
