What do you guys recommend for the Effects Loop in a Marshall JMP-1? I've always used a Rocktron Hush units for the last 20 years or so and am used to them...but looking for other options. I plan to put it in the JMP-1's loop, so I can only assign it to the High Gain Patches as needed. I've read a ton of reviews for the Decimator Pedal, Boss NS-2, MXR Smart Gate and the Hush units. Everyone says that this unit beats that unit hands down. What are your thoughts? I'm not a Br00tlz guy, mostly Sykes, Schenker, Lynch and Gary Moore style. Members lovED Posted January 20, 2008 Members Share Posted January 20, 2008 I use the Boss NS-2. It's pretty nice. Depending on what you're trying to do. I play very Overdriven guitar at loud volumes. It works well for completely cancelling out noises in very choppy parts and long pauses. Not so great at cancelling hiss.
