Members bmast160
I know the sound but what is it? I've read its supposed to simulate a doppler effect...People describe it as chorus, vibrato, phase and as a rotosimulator...but these words are thrown around and are sometimes interchanged. I know what chorus, chorus-like-vib(like on old boss chorus ensembles), pitch vib, trem-like-vib, tremolo, phaser pedals sound like individually but could you use those individual pedals to get a univibe sound? What are some recommendations of a good univibe pedal too? Members josh27
Univibe is a phaser with a very distinct sound. There are tons of clones. On the cheap end, Danelectro Chicken Salad, on the higher end, Fulltone DejaVibe. There are many others.

Members josh27
No. Some of the more electronically inclined on this board could explain how it is special and the circuitry. But it is actually a phase shifter, not vibrato
Members SpectralJulian
vibe is a 2 stage phaser with a wet/dry mix and not a perfect sine wave modulating it.
