Members SonicVI
No, stay home. There will be too many people in Austin next week as it is.
Members rileykill
Amen. I generally don't leave the house during SXSW. If you enjoy suffocating crowds and standing in lines for hours and hours, come on down! Otherwise, save your money and plan a trip for some other time. There's always plenty of live music in Austin. Members Guitar Widow
You don't have to break the bank to go to SXSW. They Were All Taken...Again posts info on free shows. I have also written articles on SXSW and the Austin area. Check them out before you go. I would split a room with your drummer if he already has one. Otherwise start looking to rent a car and drive in. If you are really trusting and adventuresome go to craig's list in Austin and rent a room from a stranger. I wouldn't do it. austin.craigslist.org
