powering a negative tip pedal with a DC Brick?

The polarity of the plug isn't what makes it work or not (although you will of course always have to get that part right :)). With a pedal that is positive ground (battery positive wired to ground, rather than the negative), you need a separate power source for it. The Brick has common ground for all outputs, so hooking a positive ground pedal up to it, together with regular negative ground pedals, will simply short all power out.

You need a separate power source (battery, separate adapter or isolated output on something like the PP2+ or BBE Supa-Charger) for it, with the correct plug polarity of course.
