I have a new hartman octave and it has the negative tip thing going on....so, instead of always using batteries, is there a way to use my existing dc bricK power source? thanks guys:)
Members andreas
The polarity of the plug isn't what makes it work or not (although you will of course always have to get that part right ). With a pedal that is positive ground (battery positive wired to ground, rather than the negative), you need a separate power source for it. The Brick has common ground for all outputs, so hooking a positive ground pedal up to it, together with regular negative ground pedals, will simply short all power out. You need a separate power source (battery, separate adapter or isolated output on something like the PP2+ or BBE Supa-Charger) for it, with the correct plug polarity of course. /Andreas
