Members Clorox
The only thing I don't like is that you have to stop and tighten the screw every 100 stomps or so.
Members 88mm
Well if you must know. I plan on doing some mods to my ds-2 also I would like to add the boost foot switch onto the pedal. Plus I just like to tinker. Now can I see some pix? Members Saturnine10
I thought about rehousing some Boss pedals of mine, but the PCB board is fairly large.. The new housing would have to be huge.. Whats the point of rehousing a pedal if its going to be larger than the original? :poke:
Members 88mm
I have seen ce-2 pedals rehoused. So I know it can be done. Like I said I am planning on doiing some mods and adding a second footswitch. It is not about sizeIt is not about how the boss box sucks. It IS about me wanting to tinker and do something a little different and using a new box to do it. So.....Anyone have pix?
Members 88mm
what mods do you plan on doing?i am considering some as well I am going to try a few that was discussed on the thread that you started. Most likely cutting the mids a bit and maybe the gain one. I may add switches on the new box to go from stock to mod. ( another reason for a new box)

Members andrew_k
Boss PCBs are slightly longer than a 1590BB enclosure, so if you want to rehouse a Boss pedal, you have to use a BIG enclosure, such as the one Supervelcroboy used to rehouse PurpleStrat's SAD-1 or a 1790NS enclosure (SMM/H size). Totally not worth it.
Members Dolf
why rehouse boss pedals? They're tanks.

Members comfortablynumb
Stop asking why! He's already said! Give him some pictures already. People jumped all over me for rehousing the DS-1. It was just a fun project to do on a pedal I didn't really use anymore. Nobody likes fun I guess.

Members krisnrg
yeah one time i asked about rehousing instruction for a ds-1 and everyone told me to forget it cause it was too expensive and not worth it. im still interested and i already have a lot of the componets. if anyone can post some instrction that would be great. even it i screw it up at least they are not expensive

Members comfortablynumb
Awesome, thanks for the tip Can we get a gut shot to see how much space there is? I don't have a picture of mine (and I don't have the pedal anymore) but it fits just like it does in the Boss enclosure.. The board just fits inside. Tight but just enough.
