Members upinflames
I picked on of these up on a whim and I can't get a useful sound out of it. No matter what setting I use, it squashes the signal and sounds over-compressed. Is this because I'm using a Les Paul Classic through a Orange? I've haven't tried it with a Telecaster and the Dr. Z. It also seems to kill all the high-end. Is this typical of compressors?
Members Wolfboy1
I had a Boss CE-2 which I hated (very noisy) and got one of these instead. It's always on now and I love it. I have the knob on the left at about 12:00 and the sustain about 3:00 and the switch in the middle down. I think it's one of my best buys and you can see from my sig what I'm playing through. Good luck.
Members upinflames
So do I just have to deal with the fact that I have to drive my amplifier a lot harder because of the signal lose? That settings sounded good, but it takes about 40% of the volume with it when playing chords.
