Members woodsmandan
This old analog echo unit I just picked up would has that hiss noise going on...some kind of white noise that increases as I increase any of these controls : delay time, echo volume and echo tone. At lower settings (short echo, few repeats and echo tone lowered) the noise is barely audible, but at higher settings (delay time set at higher value, echo volume and echo tone maxed ) the hiss makes it unusable. What can cause that noise ? I have tried tweeking the internal trim pots with no luck. Can dirty pots cause that ? I'm a little disapointed, the thing sounds good, but the hiss is a major downer...
