Members smrz
What should I look for beyond lack of wax windings (which the RI has)? I'm having trouble tracking down any good info online.
Members TomCTC
If you have access to the pickup, you can measure it's resistance with a multimeter. If it measures 10Kohms, then it's vintage. If not, you can tell by the wiring on the back. The vintage Wide Range buckers will have a single grey cloth wire entering into the left side of the pickup, while the reissue will have the main wire split into 4 smaller wires that are connected to 4 small tabs. Do you have pics?
Members smrz
No...I just asked the guy for some. I didn't realize the new ones measured different resistance. If it's still available, and seems legit, I'm making the drive. This is just to flip though, tbh.
