Members fruvai
I think the FV500H is for guitar and FV500L is used for keyboards
Members pencil-in
The L stands for low impedance and the H for high impedance... which is the resistance at the input of the pedal. basically I think Boss makes these, one for guitars at 'instrument level' and one for keyboards at 'line level'... only thing I can't work out though is which one is which??? (is instrument level high or low impedance?)
Members b_digg
yeah exactly so do you use the line level for effects loops?
Members pencil-in
hmmm... possibly. by the by... how do you find your AC30? how does it handle pedals, is there enough clean headroom?
Members kyrreca
The 500H is used if you place it directly after your guitar, the 500L is used if you place it after a buffer or in the fx loop.

I cant fault my amp (now that the speakers are broken in and with the treble cap mod) its the tone ive always wanted. It loves pedals esp the clean boost to cause breakup (a 1000 "sweet spots) and modulation on the bright cleans is great. If you want the vox sound (listen to the artists who use them) its perfect, the digital amp modellers (pods etc) dont even come close when you have the real thing).
