Members eclipseall
The Fatboost 1 is an awesome pedal, one of the best clean boosts ever made (IMO), adds really nice and subtle compression and its very clean (great match for me cause I use EMGs). The Rc Booster sounds great on videos Ive seen and I want to add one to my board mainly because of the light overdrive it can provide and its ability to just be really clean. It might just be GAS, because Im really happy with the Fatboost 1, but its no longer in rpoduction and cant find backup so the Rc Booster might be the right choice. (Ive tried the Fatboost 2 and it blows.) For those who have tried both, what do you prefer and why?
Members easyliver
i haven't tried the fulltone, but i've played the RC, Keeley's Katana, and a DOD 250 all as boosts. each is good for what it is, I liked the RC's tweakability, being able to add low end and cut highs...overall I liked the RC the most. If you're looking for a backup to the fulltone I'd say go with the RC.
Members Fantomius
the rc booster is TOTALLY clean. with the gain at the max level you'll get some saturation but no overdrive. it is a Really Cool booster ( and useful).
Members NoirAbattoir
I owned the Fatboost briefly. The RC Boost blows it away. You can control the EQ so much with the RC boost.
