I know it's in excellent condition as all his gear is babied. I've heard some of the tracks he has used it on and although all are now dated they do sound extremely good. For the last year or so the XD-5 has sat in the cupboard as he uses an Akai S5000 as a drum machine now routed through a heavy FX unit. I'm curious to know whether people into industrial and electronic music use samplers as drum machines in general, racks such as the XD-5, or software based drum composers and why they have chosen those paths.
