Members D-River Posted February 4, 2009 Members Share Posted February 4, 2009 I have the black reissue The Problems are: 1) Volume has become really lower than when I bought the pedal, what could have been broke? 2) I've added an external power jack, but when I use the external adapter I have an incredible amount of noise...is there anything I can to to get rid of it? Members jacobarber Posted February 4, 2009 Members Share Posted February 4, 2009 i have to assume that both your problems are being caused by the external power jack mod that you did. look for a cold solder joint, bad ground, or something similar. check other mod schematics to make sure yours is correct. the Rat and Muff (any variety) are completely different monsters. The Rat is a distortion pedal and the Muff is a fuzz. If you want tighter gain then maybe the Rat is for you. If you want nasty sounding hellspawn disgusting (wonderful) fuzzy breakup, use a Muff.
