anyone ever relic an amp?

Na I don't really care if others do it. If that's their thing. But it's not for me. Having strong opinions about others opinions about whether or not others should relic their instruments is kind of lame, too...

This new relic trend is stupid, kind of the same way buying pre-ripped faded, distressed jeans is.

 

 

Define New. I remember guitars being relic'd at least 10-12 years ago.

Yes you do. It's not done on new, Vehicles are too expensive but I've seen many old motorcycles and some cars, hacked down into the "Rat class"

I love semantics at work. Damaged, non-pristine guitars and amps are now reliced. Total You'll never see cars, antiques or anything else old "reliced" on purpose. To most collectors, you either restore something to be how it was new, leave it alone (original-ness, highly valued on cars) or modify it. The end. I think the new "relic my guitar" fad is absolutely horrid.

 

 

You're right, you'll never see antiques relic'd. That much we can all agree on.
