Members pink floyd cramer
The only way I have to connect my A100 and Leslie is with my Speakeasy pre (A100 has 1/4" output). It sounds pretty good but I realize not optimal for a clean sound, as the preamp is made for the output of a clone. Would some type of pad help me out? Any knowledgeable suggestions appreciated. Members Bones
Why not just use a typical connector kit?http://www.dairiki.org/HammondWiki/LeslieHookupKitPartNumbersLooks like 6 pin 122 type pin out.
Members mate_stubb
A Speakeasy pre is not the proper thing to use with a real Hammond - it basically duplicates the tube preamp in your Hammond anyway. And running the Hammond through a second preamp chokes the tone in my experience. Get a connector kit. It will sound so much mo betta than anything else, because you aren't adding anything extra and unneeded to the signal chain.
Members pink floyd cramer
I plan on getting one, although no big hurry. Gonna go the used route, as I am going through some financial uncertainty- seeing how long I can pay my bills with gigs. I don't know if there is much price break used, though. (Edited so as not to bump this thread) thanks for the replies, Mate Stubb and Bones!
