Members LR Weizel
A few people said the Red Llama can get quite close but it sounds too fuzzy tp me. Then again I haven't heard many good clips of a Red Llama.
Members machine gunner
I had a Mule which is pretty much the same as the Llama and I never got those type sounds out of it. If you're talking about his tones from Express (his best work IMO), I can get similar tones from a MkII Tonebender clone like the Throbak Stonebender- bright, saturated and focused a la' Kundalini Express. I believe he may have been using solid state amps at the time though...
Members Fender&EHX4ever
For "Bela Lugosi's Dead" effects, and some other delay effects like "Terror Couple Kill Colonel", I would recommend one of these:

Members LR Weizel
Thinking about getting a Memory Boy actually. I'm not really looking to recreate anything, it's just Daniel's tone was a whole different kind of distortion in some ways and I'd like to get something similar. It was an SS amp, a HH 100 watt. To me it sounds half way between a Fuzz Face with the volume knob rolled down and an overdriven Fender Twin. I don't see how a tone bender would get there though, it's not really a very fuzzy tone, more trashy. I was thinking this kind of tone - http://www.box.net/shared/5hx71mxmq4 http://www.box.net/shared/4nlisop58f http://www.box.net/shared/isony5mpvk ( about 4 mins in, that kind of sound I've never gotten with any kind o dirt, he's just strumming the open strings)
