G-system questions

Hey I've been looking for something to just handle all my effects without adding a bunch of noise or clutter to my setup and this seems like a good system. Would this just go right in front of my amp or would it have to be run through the loop or anything? I have a Mesa Dual Rec and was hoping I could just go guitar>g-system>amp.

it depends what you are using for dirt and where you want it in the chain.

for example I like my delays and modulations to be after dist/od/fuzz most of the time.

 

So if you are using your dual rec for dirt (I would) then going guitar->gsystem->amp may not be ideal.

 

Does your dual rec have a serial fx loop? or a parrallel loop that can do 100% wet?

 

If so, you can put the preamp section in one of the g-systems loops using the 4 cable method:

guitar ->G system input

G system loop send -> amp input

Amp fx loop send -> G system loop return

G system output -> amp fx loop return.
