Members orangefunk Posted April 19, 2008 Members Share Posted April 19, 2008 a butterfly screw that goes into the side if tightned it shouldn't allow the rod to slip up and down.. if it slips it requires more tightening and I acheived that by leveraging a spanner on the butterfly screw... then it snapped under the pressure... not to worry though.. you can buy these rods at speakeasy I think... but they are a little expensive... Members orangefunk Posted April 19, 2008 Members Share Posted April 19, 2008 The guy says that it had 4 keys which didn't play, so he had to take the metal plates of the two lowest and two highest keys and replace the 4 bad ones in the middle of the keyboard... : Btw.. we still haven't ascertained what these "metal plates" are... my bet is that its the pickups... esp as I couldn't imagine moving a tine down the keyboard...
