Members andi85
Depends on your schlep tolerance (how I love that word...haha) on your occasional gigs, but in your position I'd really try to get a solid state Leslie. They are irreplacable.
Members rvandenbroeck
The KeyB has a Leslie emulator so rotary stuff is not necessary. in my experience, it's very rare for leslie emulators to come close to giving the same sound and feeling of a real leslie or other rotary speaker. I'd look into the leslie 2101 if I was you. motion sound also would be a decent option, but I've always prefered the 2101 to motionsound sound. vintage leslies are really where it's at but you'll have to put a lot more time and energy into taking care of it than you would with a 2101 or a motionsound. if you really prefer not to get a rotary speaker, any keyboard amp will probably do just fine. you may even want to look into a guitar amp with tubes (like a fender twin) for a little extra grit. Members jchas
Despite using a real leslie (prefered) or a simulator, you might wantto look into an Epiphone Valve Jr. amp. I just picked one up forguitars in the studio and that sucker smokes. I haven't tried it withorgan yet (all i've got is Kurzweil KB3 sounds - good, but not the same)but I bet it will sound good. The overdrive breakup is very nice. Andonly 5-watts so your engineer won't be battling stage volume.
