Members John Denver
I am starting a side project, and am making a new pedalboard. I have my board set like this: comp > dirt > delay > reverb > amp I have a two channel amp with an effects loop; however, for this project i am only using the clean channel with the pedal for dirt. Can i just chain my pedals as listed above and go direct into the amp? What would be the benefit, if any, of having the delay and reverb in the loop if i'm not using any amp distortion? Members bowlingshirt
Putting the delay and reverb in the loop essentially places the effects after the preamp instead of before it, but if you are using a pedal for dirt and keeping your amp sound clean, you will be fine with everything in front.
