Members The Snake King
I'm trying to find some info on 2 cabs a guy has offered me for a trade, google isn't yielding results. One, he says, is a 60s/70s Sears Harmony or Silvertone with 2 12s & 2 15s. The other, an 70s Epiphone (500t?) with 2 10s & 1 18, made in Kalamazoo. Anyone heard of either or these or have any info on them?I know it's not much to go on, which is why I hope someone has first hand experience. I'm gonna go try both out early next week with my head. Members hot_karl
the silvertone could sound very cool, I have a silvertone amp and it's killer..... but it's hard to tell the quality without seeing it...that sears stuff can be hit or miss, don't know much about the epiphone.... what are you trading them for? Members The Snake King
A 4x10 Peavey cab that I can't use with my 8 ohm head because it's 4 ohm. It's built into a flight case & he seems very willing to trade straight across because he wants it for a bass cab, which it will do. The silvertone seems to be catching my eye more than the epi, though I'm sure it's massive.

Members hot_karl
I would do it, peavey is generally {censored}, at least with these old cabs you get some interesting tones.... I would still have to see/try them tho.
